A public-sector client engaged our consulting practice to lead executive consultation and project management for a major organizational initiative. We began by facilitating strategy sessions to align leadership and staff around a shared vision, ensuring clarity in the initiative’s goals and expected outcomes.

Client called distressed—her organization was at risk of losing funding. IGS worked with her to understand the issues, meet with the funder, and help bring the organization into compliance. The funder was satisfied and approved ongoing funding.

The funder was so appreciative of IGS’s support that they encouraged the organization to include IGS in a budget amendment—to help build infrastructure, ensure efficient, compliant systems, and meet deliverables. IGS also supported data collection, evaluation, and grant reporting for both program and fiscal progress.

Our consulting practice partnered with a nonprofit to implement a large, cross-sector federal grant aimed at transforming how communities serve children exposed to domestic violence. We led strategic efforts to engage key stakeholders—including major county agencies and community-based organizations—to build buy-in and shape a shared vision for change.

Working with an external evaluator, we developed a robust evaluation plan with clearly defined outcomes, indicators, and data collection tools. The program was designed to be implemented across multiple sites, providing accessible, trauma-informed services within the community—outside the formal court and child welfare systems. To ensure effectiveness, we established continuous quality improvement practices, using data and feedback to refine the program in real time.

The result was a successful, community-rooted program that supported children and their non-abusing parents. It helped mitigate the effects of trauma, strengthened parent child relationships and build protective factors and resilience - enabling families to heal and thrive!
